Earlier in his career he led IT and business operations teams at GE, American Express and Deutsche bank.  He has driven business transformations, re-structuring and has been involved in three multibillion-dollar acquisitions. Alan earned a BS in Biology from The State University, New York and his MBA from Stern School at NYU.

Himanshu Arora is chief data and analytics officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, the largest private health plan in Massachusetts and one of the largest independent, not-for-profit Blue Cross Blue Shield plans in the country. BCBSMA serves 2.8 million members and is rated among the nation’s best health plans for overall member satisfaction and quality. 

Himanshu is responsible for aligning BCBSMA’s corporate strategy with the delivery of Enterprise Data and Analytics across the company. He and his team help identify ways to improve the consumer experience, health care quality and plan affordability by working collaboratively with business areas focused on our accounts, plan, providers, and members to ensure critical data drives business-oriented decision making. Before joining BCBSMA in 2018, he worked at Health Care Service Corp., where he led Data and Analytics Strategy and Governance. Previously, he served as Vice President for Predictive Analytics at Zurich Insurance Group and held senior leadership positions at both UnitedHealthcare and Deloitte Consulting.

He has led several transformational programs that include: the reduction of operating expenses off projected baseline spend of about $500 million over ten years; the consolidation of real estate holdings into a single 650,000 square foot campus for the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill area; the development of the company’s first data warehouse; and, while serving as President of the Blue Cross NC Credit Union, led the merger of this credit union into the North Carolina State Employees’ Credit Union (the 2nd largest in the United States based on assets under management). Jim has a Bachelors of Science in Business and Management from the University of Maryland and a MBA from Arizona State University with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting.

Patrick Getzen has more than 20 years of experience in the health insurance industry.  Currently in his role at Blue Cross NC, Getzen focuses on data quality, stewardship, and governance, as well as analytics enablement for the company.

Getzen previously served as Vice President and Chief Actuary for Blue Cross NC. He has successfully built the strategy and implemented ISO-27001 Information security framework at many International Companies.

Sarvesh was the Chairman of the export committee for the Manufacturer’s Association of Information Technology (MAIT) and a member of the IT and Telecom committees of the Government of India. He worked closely with the Govt. and Industry to promote software and services exports from India. He was a founding member and the Chairman of the

Indo-European Business Development Council, European Union (EU).

With 20 years of experience in Global Business Services, he has held executive roles at Accenture and Capgemini. He was the Business Leader for Genpact’s Latin America operations and previously led the Insurance business of GECIS (GE Capital International Services) and as an expat ran their operations in Delhi, India for 3 years.

With an MA in Change Management from Western Michigan University (USA), MBA from Loughborough University (UK), MS in Marketing from University of Glamorgan, Wales (UK), Bachelor in International Business from DeMontfort University, Leicester (UK) and a fellow of Institute of Marketing, he holds Master Black Belt (DFSS) and BB (DMAIC) certification from General Electric Company.
